1.2 Use of the service by a User constitutes agreement with these terms. The service reserves the right, at its discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this User Agreement at any time. Notification of changes may be posted on the service or sent via email.
1.3 If these terms or any future changes are unacceptable to User, User may cancel their account by contacting LCS via email. Continued use of the service constitutes binding acceptance of any such changes.

Users shall abide by all copyright notices contained in any content accessed through the service.
2.2 The service is protected by copyright as a collective work. Users may not modify, publish, transmit, reproduce, distribute, or exploit any content from the service in whole or in part without prior written permission from LCS or the applicable copyright holder.
2.3 Users may download or copy content for personal use only, provided all copyright notices are preserved. Copying or storing content for commercial purposes is prohibited without prior written permission.
2.4 Users who submit content to the service — including sports history submissions, notable person entries, predictions, and media links — represent that their submissions are accurate to the best of their knowledge and do not violate any third-party rights. Submissions may be published and are subject to removal at the sole discretion of LCS if found to be inaccurate, inappropriate, or in violation of these terms.
2.5 LCS reserves the right to remove, edit, or reject any user-submitted content at any time without notice.
3. Access, Availability, and External Links
The service contains links to external websites and resources. LCS is not responsible for the availability, content, intent, or purposes of those external sites. Links do not constitute endorsement by LCS.
4. Representations and Warranties
4.1 User agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold LCS and its affiliates, officers, and employees harmless from any claim, demand, expense, or damage — including reasonable attorneys' fees — relating to use of the service or violation of this Agreement.
4.2 LCS does not represent or endorse the accuracy or reliability of any user-submitted content, advice, opinion, or information displayed through the service. Any reliance on such content is at the user's sole risk. LCS reserves the right to correct errors or omissions in any portion of the service.
4.3 Disclaimer of Warranties: the service and all downloadable materials are distributed on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation warranties of title, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Use of the service is at the user's sole risk.
5. Registration and Security
5.1 Registration is available to users who provide accurate and complete contact information, including a valid email address. Each user is permitted to have only one account. LCS reserves the right to refuse or cancel any account due to violation of these terms.
5.2 Users may not select an account name that impersonates another person or entity, or that LCS, in its sole discretion, deems offensive.
5.3 Users shall immediately notify LCS of any known or suspected unauthorized use of their account.
5.4 Users must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to reside or conduct business in the United States.
5.5 Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their password and for all activity under their account.
5.6 LCS has no control over the internet and cannot prevent interception of information by unauthorized parties. LCS will not be responsible for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized interception of transmitted information.
6. Subscription Billing and Cancellation
6.1 LocalSportsHistory.com offers a paid membership subscription at the currently published monthly rate. Subscriptions are billed monthly and managed through Stripe, a third-party payment processor.
6.2 Users may cancel their subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial-month refunds are issued unless required by applicable law.
6.3 LCS reserves the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice. Continued use of paid membership features after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new rate.
6.4 All payment processing and storage of payment information is handled exclusively by Stripe. LCS does not store credit card or banking information.
7. Communications and Privacy
7.1 LCS reserves the right to send email to users to inform them of changes, additions, or service-related information. Users may opt out of non-essential communications at any time by contacting LCS.
7.2 LCS may disclose non-identifying usage and demographic information in aggregate form.
7.3 LCS does not sell personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Information may be shared with third-party service providers (such as Stripe for payment processing) solely as necessary to operate the service.
7.4 For full details on data collection, use, and your rights, see our Privacy Policy.
8. Local Representatives
8.1 LCS may engage independent local representatives ("reps") who are not employees of LCS. Reps are independent contractors responsible for promoting LocalSportsHistory.com advertising and sponsorship services in their assigned local area.
8.2 All rep compensation is paid as a commission on sales personally made by the rep in their assigned territory, processed directly through Stripe's connected account program. LCS does not guarantee any minimum earnings.
8.3 Reps must complete a W-9 form. Stripe, as the payment processor for connected accounts, issues applicable tax documentation (including 1099-K where required) directly to reps.
8.4 Rep appointments and territory assignments are at the sole discretion of LCS. LCS reserves the right to terminate a rep relationship at any time per the terms of the signed representative agreement.
8.5 Reps and former reps agree not to compete with LCS in its services or emulate its concepts. All representatives agree to conduct themselves with professionalism and goodwill in their relationship with LCS, its staff, and the communities they serve.
