What types of content can I submit?

Anyone with a free account can submit local sports history stories, Local Area Recognition (LAR) nominations, All-Star picks, Coach of the Year nominations, and notable athlete profiles. Paid members can also add photos and videos to their personal page. Visit the Submit page to get started — no approval wait, content publishes right away.

What is the process for determining Local Area Recognition (LAR), Coach of the Year, and similar honors?

These are community-driven nominations, not official inductions. Anyone can submit a nomination and it publishes immediately as a community recognition. LocalSportsHistory.com is a community archive — we do not replace or conflict with official honors awarded by schools, leagues, or athletic organizations. Think of it as your community putting its own history on record.

Is LocalSportsHistory.com affiliated with any school, league, or sports organization?

No. LocalSportsHistory.com is an independent community archive operated by Local Computerized Services (LCS). We have no official affiliation with any school, athletic conference, league, or governing sports body. All content is community-submitted.

Is the content on this site official or verified?

Content is submitted by community members and is not independently verified by LocalSportsHistory.com. We trust our community to submit accurate, good-faith information and reserve the right to remove anything found to be inaccurate or inappropriate. If you spot an error, contact us using the information below.

How can a high school, college, or organization get their own page on the site?

A coach, alumni, administrator, or supporter with a paid membership can create a member page and link it to their school or organization. That page will appear when visitors browse that town. It is a community-run page, not an official school account — but it is a great way for a school community to put their history on the map.

How do I create a page for an athlete who has passed away or is not interested in doing it themselves?

The best path is the Famous Athletes directory — you can add a notable person profile for anyone, living or deceased, without needing their involvement. You can also submit stories, Local Area Recognition (LAR) nominations, and other content about them using the Submit form. Full editable member pages require an active subscriber, so those are best suited for someone managing their own presence on the site.

How do I become a paid Member with my own page?

Click Become a Member in the top navigation. Membership gives you an editable personal or team/org page that visitors can find when browsing your town, plus the ability to add photos and videos.

How do I cancel my membership?

You can cancel anytime directly from your dashboard — look for the 'Cancel membership' link next to the Log out button. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period and you keep full access until then. Memberships are billed monthly and payments are non-refundable per our Terms of Use. If you have any trouble, contact us at the email below and we will take care of it promptly.

I forgot my password. How do I get back in?

We do not have automatic password reset yet. Email us using the contact info below with the email address on your account and we will help you regain access.

How do I apply to be a local sales rep?

Visit the Become a Local Rep page to apply for your town. The rep program is currently in a limited launch phase — submitting an application adds you to our waiting list and we will be in touch when onboarding opens in your area.

I am a rep — why is a sale not showing up as credited to me?

Only sales made through your specific referral link (shown on your rep dashboard) count toward your credit. Simply being the assigned rep for a town does not automatically credit you for every sale there.
