Todd Brian Frazier was born on February 12, 1986, in Toms River, New Jersey, and first became a household name at age 12 when he was the star of the Toms River East Little League team that won the 1998 Little League World Series — a championship that brought extraordinary joy to Toms River and cemented his identity as the town's baseball prodigy. He went on to Toms River East High School and then Rutgers University, where he was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the first round (34th pick) in 2007. In the major leagues, Frazier became a reliable third baseman with surprising power — he hit 35 home runs in 2014 and was the runner-up in the All-Star Home Run Derby in 2015. He won the All-Star Home Run Derby in 2015 at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati. His career spanned seven organizations and 11 seasons in the big leagues.
