Saquon Barkley was born in Coplay, Pennsylvania, in the Lehigh Valley, and starred at Whitehall High School before becoming a consensus All-American at Penn State. Selected 2nd overall by the New York Giants in the 2018 NFL Draft, Barkley won the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award with 1,307 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. After recovering from a torn ACL, he became one of the most dynamic offensive players in the league and signed with the rival Philadelphia Eagles in 2024 — where he delivered one of the greatest rushing seasons in NFL history, earning a Super Bowl championship and rushing for 2,005 yards, the fifth player ever to surpass 2,000 yards in a season.
