Paul Warfield was born in Warren, Ohio, and attended Warren G. Harding High School before playing at Ohio State. Drafted 11th overall by the Cleveland Browns in 1964, Warfield became one of the most graceful and technically perfect wide receivers the game has ever produced — precise routes, sure hands, and game-breaking speed. Traded to Miami in 1970, he became the deep threat in Don Shula's Dolphins offense that won back-to-back Super Bowls (VII and VIII), including the NFL's only perfect 17-0 season. An 8× Pro Bowl selection, Warfield finished with a career average of 20.1 yards per reception — among the best ever. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1983.
