At 5 feet 3 inches, Muggsy Bogues is the shortest player in NBA history — and one of the most entertaining. Bogues attended Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Baltimore and was part of the legendary 1982–83 Dunbar team that went 31–0 and was ranked #1 in the nation, with four starters going on to play in the NBA. Drafted 12th overall by the Washington Bullets in 1987, he went on to a 14-year career with the Bullets, Charlotte Hornets, Golden State Warriors, and Toronto Raptors. Known for his extraordinary quickness and floor vision, Bogues averaged 7.7 assists per game and finished his career with 6,726 total assists. He remains one of the most beloved players in Hornets franchise history and a symbol of determination over physical expectations.
