Mo Vaughn was born in Norwalk, Connecticut, and became one of the most beloved players in Boston Red Sox history. The powerful first baseman won the 1995 AL MVP Award after batting .300 with 39 home runs and 126 RBI, embodying the gritty, working-class spirit that Red Sox fans cherished. A four-time All-Star, Vaughn hit 328 career home runs before injuries ended his career prematurely. He remains one of the most accomplished athletes ever produced by Fairfield County, Connecticut.
