Mike D'Antoni is one of the most influential offensive minds in NBA coaching history, the architect of the Phoenix Suns' revolutionary "7 seconds or less" offense. He grew up in Mullens, West Virginia, and graduated from Mullens High School before going on to star at Marshall University, where he left as the school's all-time assists leader. He played 13 seasons in the Italian League with Milan, winning multiple titles and becoming a legend there. As an NBA head coach, D'Antoni transformed the Phoenix Suns with Steve Nash in the mid-2000s, winning NBA Coach of the Year in 2005, and later coached the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, and Brooklyn Nets.
