Matt Ryan grew up in Exton, Pennsylvania, in the Philadelphia suburbs, and attended William Penn Charter School before becoming an All-American at Boston College. Drafted 3rd overall by the Atlanta Falcons in 2008, "Matty Ice" spent 14 seasons as Atlanta's franchise quarterback, earning the 2016 NFL MVP award after leading the Falcons to a 28–3 lead in Super Bowl LI — the largest deficit ever overcome in Super Bowl history (by the Patriots). A 4× Pro Bowl selection with 59,765 career passing yards, Ryan finished his career briefly with the Indianapolis Colts.
