Lenny Moore grew up in Reading, Pennsylvania, starred at Reading High School, and went on to Penn State before being drafted 9th overall by the Baltimore Colts in 1956. One of the most versatile offensive weapons of his era, Moore could play halfback, flanker, and wide receiver with equal effectiveness, allowing coach Weeb Ewbank and later Don Shula to use him in ways no one had ever deployed a back. He won two NFL championships with the Colts (1958, 1959) and set a then-NFL record by scoring touchdowns in 18 consecutive games (1963–65). A 7× Pro Bowl selection and the 1964 NFL Comeback Player of the Year, Moore was essential to the Colts' golden era. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1975.
