Joe Burrow grew up in Athens, Ohio, where his father Jim Burrow was an assistant football coach. He attended Athens High School and later transferred to LSU, where he had the greatest single season in college football history in 2019: 5,671 passing yards, 60 touchdowns, and a Heisman Trophy won in a landslide — then a national championship. Selected 1st overall by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2020, Burrow quickly established himself as one of the NFL's elite quarterbacks, leading Cincinnati — a perennial also-ran — to Super Bowl LVI in just his second season.
