Dwyane Wade was born in Chicago and grew up in Robbins, Illinois, before attending Harold L. Richards High School in Oak Lawn. He played college ball at Marquette University, then the Miami Heat selected him fifth overall in the 2003 NBA Draft. "Flash" won three NBA Championships (2006, 2012, 2013) and was a 13-time All-Star. His 2006 Finals performance — averaging 34.7 points and 7.8 rebounds against the Dallas Mavericks — is considered one of the greatest clutch performances in NBA history. Wade was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2023.
