Paul Laurence Dunbar High School

David Wingate played 12 seasons in the NBA after being selected in the 2nd round of the 1986 NBA Draft by the San Antonio Spurs following a four-year career at Georgetown University. Part of the historic 1982–83 Paul Laurence Dunbar High School team in Baltimore that went 31–0 with four future NBA players in the starting lineup, Wingate played for the Spurs, Philadelphia 76ers, Washington Bullets, Seattle SuperSonics, New York Knicks, Charlotte Hornets, and other teams. A tenacious defender known for his toughness and professionalism, he remained in the league until 1999. Attended Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Baltimore.
