Danny Ferry was one of the most celebrated college basketball players of the 1980s, winning the John R. Wooden Award and Naismith College Player of the Year Award at Duke University in 1989. A product of DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland, he was selected 2nd overall in the 1989 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers before being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Ferry played 13 NBA seasons with the Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs, and New Orleans Hornets, winning an NBA championship ring with the Spurs in 2003. He later became Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Atlanta Hawks. Attended DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland.
