Curt Warner was one of the most explosive running backs of the 1980s, selected 3rd overall in the 1983 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks after a standout career at Penn State. He grew up in Pineville, West Virginia, graduating from Pineville High School in a class of only 90 students. At Penn State he set 41 school rushing records. As a Seahawk, Warner led the AFC in rushing in his rookie year and helped carry Seattle to its first AFC Championship game appearance. He tore his ACL in the first game of 1984 but came back to rush for 1,000+ yards four more times, becoming the franchise's all-time leading rusher with 6,705 yards. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2009. Attended Pineville High School in Pineville, West Virginia.
