Christopher Paul Mullin was born on July 30, 1963, in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn and grew up shooting thousands of shots a day in the gyms and playgrounds of Brooklyn — a work ethic that would define his career. He attended Xaverian High School in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, then enrolled at St. John's University in Queens, where he won the Big East Player of the Year award twice and led the Redmen to the 1985 Final Four. The Golden State Warriors selected him 7th overall in the 1985 NBA Draft. Mullin was a textbook shooter with a near-perfect release, an elite defender against smaller guards, and a leader of remarkable personal courage — he entered alcohol rehabilitation in 1987 and returned to become one of the game's premier players. He was a five-time NBA All-Star and was the centerpiece of the celebrated "Run TMC" Warriors alongside Tim Hardaway and Mitch Richmond. He was named to the 1992 U.S. Olympic Dream Team — one of the greatest sports teams ever assembled — and won a gold medal in Barcelona. Mullin averaged 17.9 points per game over 16 NBA seasons. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York.
