Bob Griese was born in Evansville, Indiana, and starred at Purdue University before the Miami Dolphins selected him in the first round of the 1967 AFL-NFL Draft. The steady, cerebral quarterback guided Miami to back-to-back Super Bowl titles (VII and VIII), including the only perfect season in NFL history (17–0 in 1972). A two-time All-Pro and eight-time Pro Bowl selection, Griese was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990.
