Adrian Dantley is a Basketball Hall of Fame inductee (2008) and one of the most efficient scorers in NBA history. He attended DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland — the powerhouse program that produced more NBA first-round picks than any other high school in Maryland history. After a standout career at Notre Dame, Dantley was the 6th overall pick in the 1976 NBA Draft by the Buffalo Braves. He led the NBA in scoring twice (1981 and 1984) and was named to 6 All-Star Games across a 15-year career with the Braves, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Lakers, Utah Jazz, Detroit Pistons, Dallas Mavericks, and Milwaukee Bucks. He averaged 24.3 points per game for his career with a career field goal percentage of .540, an extraordinary mark for a perimeter player.
