Adriel Jeremiah "A.J." Green was born on July 31, 1988, in Summerville, South Carolina (Dorchester County), and attended Summerville High School, where he was one of the most recruited wide receiver prospects in the nation. At the University of Georgia he became a first-team All-American and was selected 4th overall by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2011 NFL Draft. Green was immediately one of the best players at his position in the NFL, posting four consecutive 1,000-yard seasons in his first four years and earning Pro Bowl selections in each of those seasons. Known for his exceptional route running, physical toughness at the catch point, and natural receiving instincts, Green was selected to seven Pro Bowls in his career and spent a decade as the centerpiece of the Bengals' offense. His sustained excellence during the Bengals' competitive years under Andy Dalton made him one of the most respected and difficult-to-cover receivers of the 2010s, though a combination of injuries in his later seasons prevented him from reaching a Super Bowl with Cincinnati. Born and raised in Summerville, South Carolina.
