Leighton, AL (Colbert County); home of the Raiders; alma mater of Ozzie Newsome (Pro Football Hall of Fame 1999; University of Alabama; Cleveland Browns tight end; one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history; set numerous records for receptions by a tight end during his career from 1978-1990; nicknamed "The Wizard of Oz" for his sure-handed receiving; later became one of the most respected general managers in NFL history, building the Baltimore Ravens into a two-time Super Bowl champion franchise; inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a player but his executive career is equally legendary)
